Hi,, yea its an awsome place,, you have a few lakes there with some quality fish in,, staff are very helpful with a tackle shop on site,, theres also a quality cafe and toilets on site. As for the fishing the best thing you could do is speak to Nick Mcfc Cunnell, he's a top bloke and will point you in the right direction hope it helps tight lines m8
Passion for angling did 1 of their episodes there. Lots of big tench. Although, this was a few years ago. Great show..
Now that’s a lake!!
My mate was there on Boxing Day caught jack shit
I heard its a little dodgy, tackle theft wise.
Fish in the horse shoe on the big lake 👌
I fished it last year it is a really good place and the 40 came out late on last year was in the angling times
Went last week, 1 tiddler all day. I recommend Manor Farm fishing lakes just outside ipswich
I'm up there in September for first time looking forward to it
Was a very good bait that, only similar thing I know is mainline sell flavoured meat in a tin which is very good also.
Used to use the sweetcorn one. Still have a few sausages left of it. Worked really well on my club lake
Might sound stupid but chorizo ??
I use pepperami
Hot dog sausage and put your own flavours on it👍
Got some off ebay sure about 2 years agiy, maybe still selling on there ? Always worked when everything else failed.
They used to be the best I can't find them either anymore
Back in the day we used any sort of sausage meat was always a winner
Give that a go always done well on halibut
Based in covid epicentre probably why it's not available
You can't beat Swan mussels absolutely deadly
My dad caught this last week on garlic sausage
Iv had some decent fish on the snail sausage they used to do
Try some pepperoni
The red pepperami is the bollocks mate
Many thanks guys there’s some great ideas iv not thought of myself so I will be using some of these. Iv tried pepperami n it’s been hit n miss sometimes good n others not so good😂but not tried the luncheon meat so might give that a shot n see how we get on
That stuff is complete trash lol
I have had very good results on cheese garlic sausage from Morriston its sounds very similar its wrapped in plastic,I cut a slice and hair rig through the plastic on a helicopter bomb 15inch hook lenth only been on it a couple of days after a fishing freind gave me some to try but had two great days carp to 12 ish and even 3 barbell might be fluke but I will be at Morriston next week to get some tight lines pal.

„I am not only an angler but also a gifted singer!“ 😂🎤🕺🏼
Nice Fish, greetings to you.
Monster , can’t wait for a big fat 40lb , or just under I think 39lb 👍👊🏻🎣
Wow that's monster!
Did you have to kill it after capture??
Was watching Alan Blair's video on safety yesterday and he touched on it saying about there is a mad law about torchering animals and that's what fishing is classed as and you have to go on a fishing course and on that course they teach you how to do it in the most humane way he also said this applied in Switzerland could you elaborate as when I looked it was all in German and unfortunately the 8 months I was in münster I only learnt how to order a beer and a kebab 🤣🤣
Great carp 🎏
My friend Geritt in Germany explained...We are all catch and release...in Germany they don,t recognize fishing as Sport...so you FISH TO EAT..and that is acceptable...also..if i have this rite...you are not supposed to put them back...Check Geritt Pardella...he will tell you more.👍
Nice fish 🐟
Cracker! Love to see someone smiling with their catch😀
Hi Stephen, Did you need to do the full fishing license exam in Germany or did you get a visitors license to get around this? Currently living and working in Germany but was fishing in NL last year as I am near the border. I was told I need to get full license and do the course etc. to fish some of the lakes near me in Germany?
Have a look at the Nash S5. £19.99 each. I would recommend them to anyone, a lot people I know have them. Are you after a reciver to go with them?
Mini microns. Really good tbf
Agree with Jacob the sirens are great super clear speaker and bright leds
Save up mate
I have 4 RS1’s with a receiver you can have for £150. Look them up 👍
Washing up liquid tops! 👍
These a good mate. I use them and i see all the time they get good feedback on various sites
Try the second hand sites can pick up some bargains on them
Nash s5 20 each brand new 👌👍
Nash s5 are good starters
Fox micros mate for that money 👍
I got some prologic bats 3 alarms and receiver for about £70-80 and they are good i like them and for the sake of saving a bit more you'll get everything you need and they are aaa batteries so they are cheap enough to get and easy a 9v battery for receiver which will last ages
Ngt vs are great alarms
Korum from go outdoors..comes with receiver and cool bobbins too
Hirisi bite alarms are good for price mate
I have the korum kbi 3 set from go outdoors only brought them coz the store was having a refit so they ruduced to 42 pounds used them for two weekends now no issues but receiver does feel a bit delicate
3 fairy liquid bottle tops with a bell on and £44 change.
I purchased 4 nd dongles and receiver for my mk1 delkims for £80 work well no problems 👍
No!!! I have the new version and they arnt the best tbf !!! Not cheap neuther save a bit more and get delks
What Nick said. And if you want you can split the dongle to cover more rods, so when three of us go using splitters all 6 rods covers with 3 dongles
I ran these for a number of years on delk EV's had a splitter coming out of bottom of each alarm so I could run illuminated hangers if I wanted to. They never let me down once 👍🤗
Bulletproof but need to take the batteries out of the dongles after each sesh
No, bag of crap. Used them with my nevs. When they work there good, but i had to change dongles more than i had to change the batteries. I think over the years ive had 9 or 10 to get 3 that worked... they dont last long.
I have had mine for over 20 years never had any problems.
I bought mine years ago for my Delks. They work great plug em in set the receiver so you know what alarm is what light and away you go.
Never had a problem with mine for the last 10 years!!
Lea Valley canal. Stretch between Tottenham hale heading in either direction. If fishing the side towards Stoke Newington head for the huge pipe over the canal and cast for opposite side where the coppermill stream enters the canal
Just to help. Be aware the record for the lea came from this stretch. Ppl can get funny.....

Poor condition carp but cant take it away from the kid, looks made up
Matt Cox ten times stronger
People commenting on the state of the carp as if its his pet and its his fault that its in that state?! Its the owner fault not his Honestly some of u, hes just a kid and hes caught a carp try an say well done next time rather then commenting on the state
Nice catch mate
Well done young man
Great Catch Lad🎣🎣🎣
Nice fish there young man
Great little fish fella,u will see worse if u stick with carp fishing
Good catch buddy 😁
Done well young fella, onwards and upwards
Well done fella. Keep at it, bet you were buzzing after getting that in the net
Well played Blake 👏
Good lad well done.. all the comments about the carps condition.. unfortunately if your gonna fish for them your gonna do damage.. what would your gob look like after a year of hooks ripping through your lips.. not the owners fault it's the fisherman's fault
Never fished it but was up there and saw a few day tickets. The lake by Rydal caves (lake district) I believe is a day ticket going by the signs. But dying to know myself if anyone has fished it. Sorry this is a pretty useless comment
Depending how far you willing to travel...Farlows in iver,Slough... can’t book though but they do usually post swim updates on fb at gate close... or Thorpe Lea in egham... can book through their website up to two weeks in advance...
Baden hall stafford
Furnace lakes in Guildford would be a fantastic opportunity
Bishops Bowl Fishery lovely place
Farlows lake is good I was there earlier this week and pulled a 22lbs on lake 2
Pondswood fisheries maidenhead little venue packed with carp an cats family run best place with all your requirements or farlows both get busy so ring in advance
If lakes are open and travel is allowed the onus of the covid paperwork that permits that travel is on the individual that needs to travel. If you are true in that your heart goes out to the lake owners who are on their knees right now then it is your duty to work with them not against them. Some lakes will be in better positions than others to accommodate so bare that in mind by respecting the position of your destination fishery without judging them against another. That’s my opinion anyway.
Most lakes will move dates it all up to the government at the moment I am going in August I have had my jabs . And will also pay for the pct test if necessary. Bit I think by then France would have caught up with the vaccine rollout and that is what will make the difference so fingers crossed it will get sorted
August should be ok, im also travelling then. If travel is open and you choose not to go because you choose not to take any required pcr test, then in reality thats not the lakes problem. They are open for business and you've basically changed your mind. I should think some of the more established places would consider changing dates. Just waiting for all the people complaining that they cant get a refund, when its 99% likely in the contract they agreed to when booking that refunds wont be given if they are open for business and travel is allowed
U shud b refunded n atleast another booking wen the screw ups not the persons fault wen governments fooook up.
I work in a nursing home and I'm tested 3 times a week . 1 of them is the pcr test .do you think any of this will make any difference?
I honestly don’t think you will find any lake owners making allowances for COVID-19 testing. That will be entirely down to you. If the fishery is open, and travel between England and France is allowed, and you don’t take the booking up you will lose your money.
Guys I'm just asking a question 100s if not thousands of Anglers want advice on .
